did you get Gleim for AUD after all?
What was your experience? I am thinking to purchase Gleim
2011 for AUD. Thanks in advance.

I like them. I purchased the whole online system but I
don't think it's necessary (my company reimburses me). I
think the book and test prep software is enough. There
are 2010 MCQ's with the software. There are task based
simulations at the end of each chapter in the book.

The only advantage to the online system is that you
get to practice doing the simulation electronically
(similiar to exam). They also give you the simulation
wizard with different simulations for each chapter. In
all, there are 3 different simulations for EACH chapter
(2-online, 1- in book). It's kind of simulation OVERLOAD.

Hey Pink, have you taken AUD yet? If so, would you say
the Gleim MCQs vs. the actual exam were comparable? I
failed AUD and used only the Wiley MCQs which I didn't
think were as difficult/comparable to the ones on the
actual exam so I'm wondering if Gleim is a better choice
this time around.

OrDieTrying - I will be retaking AUD for the 5th time on May 12, using Gleim MCQ and simulation wizard. Could you please share your study plan for AUD using Gliem.

Wanted to know if Gleim MCQ would be comparable to the actual exam.

thanks

Hello guys,

Has anybody used Gleim Simulations for the Audit section?

If so, did the simulations prepare you for the actual exam.

I am practicing the Wiley Simulations and the CPA excel simulations. There is a lot of overlap between the two.

I was wondering if Gleim was any different.

Thanks.

A few were similiar and some were not. I worked over 40 simulations and they were still my weak area (75% on the practice exam). I would focus on knowing the material and becoming familiar with researching the authoritative litererature so that you can look things up if you need to.

Hi PINKCPA,

Thanks for your feedback.

Good to know that at least some of them were similar.

All the big name study materials are going to be similar. I have used Becker and looked over Gleim and they were similar.

I purchased the Gleim CPA review books and Test Prep
Software back in July for $339.80. The salesperson was
trying to convince me to get the full review system but I
respectfully declined after seeing the success many of you
have had here in this thread with just the books and test
prep software. I am currently studying for
Auditing and plan on taking it in October. I hope I pass
on the first attempt!
