Hi fellow CPAers,

I was wondering how would you alter audit strategies after IPOs and capital raisings. What areas would you focus on?

Regards,

Kern

Not sure if this is what you're asking, but my guess is the auditor would focus on assertions related to stockholders equity.  The auditor would test the existence by reading articles of incorporation and looking at stock registers, verify completeness by looking at stock certificate numbers, verify value by confirming par value and reading board minutes, and verify rights and obligation by inquiring about restrictions and ensuring appropriate classification of the securities, etc.
